WOW - again I have learned something NEW !! MP for multi-pass ! I have a new roll of flux core, listed as "ALLOY: E71T-GS" and upon checking it is listed as Single Pass !! Well that's no good for a Cocky Shit mig welder like me LOL 😂 I will need several coats of weld (after each clean that is) to make things stick a bit better ha hah Thanking you again WeldFever - I'm buying a roll of E71T-11, you've saved my bacon 🥓 👍 Ted

That's not thick. 3mm is easy, try welding 1.5mm thick and see how you go. I am sure many viewers would like to learn the ticks to successfully weld 1.5mm gal without blowing holes. I certainly would.

232 runs great on CC from an LN-8

50 videos later, only one to actually show the raise portion going where. Seen some many people hand me there grinder, wheel blows off within a minute. Thanks for saving my life, or potentially in the future.

had to weld several hundred pits on the bottom of a towboat hull laying on my back with 2 feet of clearance, tough job. and in mud. got real close to the overhead weld. had to get a new shield after that because of the spatter falling on me.

Good info! I'm looking to weld tail light brackets onto the rear of my trailer. The scrap i found is 1/4" angle 4"x4". I was going to try to TIG weld it instead of stick. Do you think it's too heavy of material to TIG weld? If not, what size tungsten ans amperage would I use? Assume it's DCEN on polarity. I have a Lincoln Precision Tig 185. Do you recommend 2% Lanthanated tungstens? Thanks a bunch!

Avoid grinding with a nylon shirt on. I caught my belly on fire. Interesting exercise in "think fast".

What grit was your flap disc?

How much weight will those T's you welded hold? I was going to use 2 inch square steel tubing with an internal diameter of 1.76.(.12 thick wall) I am building a work bench out of 2X2 Spruce Pine that was left over from another project. The actual diameter is 1.437" square. I want to make the bench portable so would drill a hole through the Metal tubing and 2X2s and bolt it down. When I am finished using the bench I could pull the bolts out and could store the table flat. I used to solder circuit boards. It looks similar with the exception of the safety gear.

Hello Dan, great video.. I have a millermatic 140 welding .030 solid core.. I have a problem with the autoset feeding too fast and making bird welds. No matter what it welds sheet metal or 1/8 steel it wont weld like new. If i take it off autoset and try manual set it (to slow it down) it welds better but still not right, no matter what i do. Liner is new and clean. Have any ideas what the problem could be?? thanks

Just a note, if you don't have an angle finder a good way to measure the bevel angle would be to measure back from the edge half the thickness of the material. This would also give you 22.5deg without actually measuring the angle.
